Mrs. Amy Masters
Mrs. Amy Masters is a Texas girl, even with her New Jersey beginnings. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Studies. She then went to Stephen F. Austen for her certification in Orientation and Mobility Services. Mrs. Masters spent the next seven years working with blind or visually impaired children ages 0 to 19, many of whom also had special needs. For the next three years, she then ran her own daycare. Next her family moved to Nashville for three years, which she loved and where she worked as a preschool teacher. When the family decided to move back to Texas, Mrs. Masters received her teaching certificate and returned to her work special needs students at a life skills classroom at Bagdad Elementary for two years. After spending a year managing the family business, Mrs. Masters returned to special education to teach at Founders. She has two daughters who are students at Founders.
