Mr. Jeremie Vega

Mr. Vega was born and raised in Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Mathematics and Government with Departmental Honors. While he enjoyed taking a number of classes in college, one of his favorites was a political philosophy class, Xenophon and Machiavelli. Mr. Vega was a teacher assistant for the Duke TiP summer program at Duke University East Campus and Rice University. He gave lessons and assisted in the classes Spy 101: Cryptology and Number Theory and Cryptography, Codebreaking, and the Mathematics of Spying. At Founders, Mr. Vega has taught 8th grade Literature, 10th grade Literature, Algebra II, and Pre-Calculus. In addition to studying great books, Mr. Vega’s interests include watching movies, working out, and riding his motorcycle. He also recently started learning how to play the ukulele. He lives with his pug, Phoebe.
