Mrs. Julie Apel
Mrs. Apel earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Baylor University where she majored in English and is currently pursuing a Masters in Humanities in Classical Education from the University of Dallas. She taught literature to middle and high school students before moving with her husband and children to Athens, Greece where she began her journey into classical education. She has taught in public, private, and homeschool settings. Along the way, she developed a passion for multiple subjects and has subsequently taught Latin, rhetoric, history, composition, math, and science. Currently, she teaches Latin IA and IB and serves as the Dean of Grammar School and Dean of Women. She enjoys taking road trips, reading great literature, and dinner time conversations with her family. Since Mrs. Apel grew up traveling the world as a military brat she loves to take her children to far away places but also believes there is no place like home.
