Reminder: If you have not been approved as a volunteer during the current school year, between July 2023 and today, you must apply and be approved before working at Field Day or being a field trip chaperone. This includes those working grammar lunch and recess, along with any other activity that involves being on campus or in the presence of students.
Each school year, ResponsiveEd requires every volunteer to complete an online volunteer application (see links to applications below) and undergo a background check. Once you are approved, you must sign this digital confidentiality agreement and follow these volunteer guidelines: Guidelines for Founders Archer Volunteers 2023-2024. Applications remain active for the current school year. A volunteer must reapply each school year. Show Nurse Martinez some love on Wednesday, May 8 as thanks for all she does for our students and children. A note, drawing, small treat or snack. Anything to help her know how much her care and concern is appreciated.
The Winter/Spring sports recognition ceremony and banquet are scheduled for May 6th. We will recognize athletes from basketball, soccer, and track/field.
Middle School sports - 5:00 pm in the Gym. Light refreshments will be served.
High School sports - 6:30 pm in the Cafeteria. Meals will be provided for all high school athletes and coaches.
Family and guest meals can be purchased for $9 at the link below. Meals must be ordered by May 1st.

This is a big event so consider volunteering for set-up and clean-up. Please email the AABC at [email protected] if you have any questions or wish to volunteer. If your athlete is not attending or has any dietary restrictions, please let us know so we do not order a meal for you.
Junior/Senior Prom 2024: Golden Globe Awards ~ May 4
This year’s Junior & Senior Prom will be held on Saturday, May 4 at Avery Ranch Golf Club from 7-11 pm. This dance is for current juniors, seniors and their dates. Note that select guests must be approved.*
Purchase tickets through Venmo - @FCA-SeniorClass at a cost of $35/person $60/couple
or tickets will be sold at upper school lunch today and tomorrow. Ticket sales will close on Friday evening!

*As a reminder, approval is required for non-Founders guests and Founders 9th or 10th grade students to attend prom. Consent forms that were submitted by the due date of April 30 will be available for pick up from the upper school office beginning today, May 1.
10 Days Left to Order Your 2023-2024 Yearbook!
Only 10 days remain to order your yearbook! Order by May 10. Books will be distributed after final exams the last week of school. Students will be given a chance for friends and teachers to sign their keepsake. Buy yours here.

We are excited to honor our AMAZING teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6th - May 10th! Our theme this year is, “Our Teachers and Staff Take the Gold”. Check out the itinerary of daily events, hosted by the Archers Support Committee, along with suggestions of ways for students and families to shower our hard working teachers and staff with appreciation and gratitude. Please feel free to express your appreciation in other ways as well!

If you are the parent of a rising 5th-12th grader who intends to compete in athletics next school year or attend a summer sports camp, we want to help you check this task off of your summer to-do list. On Wednesday, May 15, Dr. Blatchley from Leander Chiropractic will provide sports physicals here on campus for $30. Pay by exact cash (preferred) or a check made out to FCA Leander. Dr. Blatchley will contribute a portion of the fee back to the school.
The required form will be provided to those attending the event but you may also download a copy here from our school’s Athletics page. Contact Coach Munoz at [email protected] if you have questions.

CG Victory’s IGNITE Day Camp ~ June 17-21
Great news! CG Victory’s IGNITE Day Camp at COMING BACK to Founders Academy as a FULL-DAY camp! With high-energy team games and competitions, your kiddo is sure to have a blast while personally growing at this faith-based camp! IGNITE is for kids of all ability levels and backgrounds!
Activities include: Rockwall ~ Obstacle Course ~ Variation Sports ~ Water Games ~ Huddle Groups ~ and more!

Handbook Reminder
Prom Attire
Ladies wear floor- or knee-length dresses, dress pants, or skirts (floor-length is encouraged). Skirts and dresses should be at least the longest fingertip length all the way around and should not be skin-tight. The top of the slit should pass the fingertip test. Plunging necklines, visible cleavage, bare midriffs, completely backless, completely sideless, see-through fabric, and side-, front-, or back cut-outs below the bust are not permitted. Ladies are encouraged to wear shoes in which they can dance comfortably. However, no tennis shoes or sneakers should be worn. Please use discretion when selecting your dress, as we wish for this event to uphold the standards of our school.
Gentlemen wear a collared shirt and dress pants with a jacket and tie, and a belt or suspenders. Alternatively, gentlemen may wear a tuxedo. Pants should reach the shoe but not drag on the ground. Skinny pants and sagging pants which expose undergarments are not permitted. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear shoes in which they can dance comfortably. However, tennis shoes or sneakers should not be worn.
